What a beautiful wedding!! Ricky is my husband's first cousin, so when he asked us to be a part of his and Jenny's big day we were excited. My husband was the officiant and did a great job with the ceremony. My mother in law is SUPER talented in wedding coordinating/decorating and had the place looking A-MAZ-ING! I met up with the Morales family at Atlantic Beach to capture some family photos...three children ages 4, 2, and 2 is a challenge!! When one was happy the other two weren't, the other two would smile and the third wasn't - but I think with all the silly noises, running and jumping that we got some pretty great pictures!! You have a beautiful family, it was so great seeing you (and meeting the new additions)!

The Philip family is on a sabbatical from their work with Urban Resurrection in Miami - they spent some time in Ethiopia (where their beautiful daughters are from) and now in FL visiting family. The Long family was in Amelia Island visiting their family for the 4th of July weekend (and to celebrate someone's 3rd birthday) and wanted a photography session. I was very happy to take the time out for them since they are related to a very close friend!! When you're taking pictures of a 3 year old, you never know what you're going to get...and despite the drama, we got some amazing pictures! Can you say small world? When I booked the Abernathy session, I thought it was for a friend of a friend...turns out I went to church with them growing up! They were visiting Jacksonville Beach from Georgia with family and wanted to capture their special time together. Of course, the little man was the star of the show!! Now she's getting married!! We hit the Jacksonville Zoo for her engagement session and had a blast - it was probably one of the busiest days of the year, but it was beautiful out so that must be why! What a great day - I absolutely love photographing weddings! Stefanie and Drew's big day took place at the Country Club of Orange Park. By far the hardest session I've ever done...not because of the precious baby, but because my picture taking hand is broken and in the strangest shaped cast! GRRR! Anyways, baby Yarber is too adorable!! She was very alert and so tiny even though she's already 5 weeks. She definitely had an agenda of her own, but we managed to get her to do most of what we wanted (even if it was only for one second)! You'll be getting to see a lot of her in the future because she's on the baby photo plan - newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 1 year old sessions!!

While I was in NC this past weekend, I held mini sessions in downtown New Bern. It was great to see so many of my military friends and their families (even some new additions I hadn't met yet)! Unfortunately the weather didn't want to cooperate - raining and cold. But everyone braved it and we managed to get some shots between showers! November 14th will be at Mandarin Park - lots of green grass and trees, a pond and a nice dock on the river. I know I've not had many posts lately, but settling into a new state has kinda slowed business down! But I'm up and running now, so watch out ;) Last weekend I had the pleasure of taking engagement pictures for Drew and Stefanie. We met at the Winterborne on the St John's River - gorgeous setting for a gorgeous couple! Aside from the nasty humidity, we had a great time and got some really nice shots. So, when my husband's Uncle (who I'd claim as my own) asked me to take pictures of his motorcycle...I had to hesitate. Not because my husband nearly died on a motorcycle, but because of the color and content of this bike. You see...that side of the family is from Tennessee and they are UT fans. I love orange, but only when it's accompanied by blue!! But he is family and the bike is pretty awesome - even a Gator has to admit it. Check it out!

Jenny and Brent - Finally Married!!

I met Jenny almost 8 years ago at a baby shower for my oldest son...it took that long for Brent (who happens to be my brother in law) to finally realize he needed to marry her ;) Their big day was PERFECT...aside from the 100+ degree weather. They were married outside at the Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island, FL and the reception was at the Plantation Walker's Landing. Family from all over came and made the day one that will always be remembered. Here's a small preview for you - love you guys!

We changed baby E's clothes several times, used all kinds of fun props and even did her first swimsuit shoot. I just love taking pictures of little girls - they are so enthusiastic, smiley and sassy!! (Boys are fun too, but they seem to lose interest in taking pictures after about 10 minutes.) This month I am going to be doing Spring/Easter themed mini-sessions at West Wetlands park. I'm going to bring some cute props (flowers, Easter eggs & baskets, etc) - you bring the cute kids!
